If you have $500 and one corner, buy the REP QuickDraw 30 lb adjustable dumbbell pair, a 72 x 36 inch Titan foam mat and one REP Medium resistance band. At the list prices the makers showed on October 22, 2026, that comes to about $440 to $450 before tax. A bench does not fit in this budget with the dumbbells, so the build skips it and tells you where to spend the next $270.

This is desk research. Nobody here has handled this gear. Every size and weight below comes from the maker’s page, listed under Sources, and prices are bands, not quotes: they change, and sales move them.

The build at a glance

Slot Exact model Sourced spec List price band
Dumbbells REP QuickDraw, 30 lb pair 5 to 30 lb each; cradle 20.6 x 8.45 in about $335 at REP
Floor Titan Foam Fitness Mat 72 x 36 x 3/8 in; 7 lb about $80 to $90 at Titan
Bands REP Resistance Band 2.0, Medium 41 in long, 1.25 in wide, 30 to 80 lb about $25 at REP

The total is a sum of three list prices, rounded. It is not a quote, and it leaves out tax and any shipping the seller adds.

Dumbbells: REP QuickDraw, 30 lb pair

Adjustable dumbbells are the biggest line item and the one that sets what you can train. REP sells the QuickDraw as pairs in 30, 40, 50 and 60 lb tiers. The 30 lb pair covers 5 to 30 lb each. REP says the switches change weight in 10 lb jumps, and two 2.5 lb micro plates in the box allow 2.5 or 5 lb steps.

The footprint is small. REP lists the cradle at 20.6 in long and 8.45 in wide, and the 30 lb dumbbell at 12.2 in long. The handle is 32 mm across. REP backs the set with a lifetime warranty for the original buyer, which excludes wear and abuse such as repeated drops.

The limit is the weight. If you already press or row near 30 lb a hand, this tier is a short stop. REP says the system tops out at 60 lb, and REP sells add-on weights to reach the 60 lb tier, so if your current working weights are above 30 lb, read the QuickDraw review before buying this tier.

Floor: Titan Foam Fitness Mat

A 72 by 36 inch mat marks out your training spot and gives you something to kneel, lie or stand on. Titan lists it at 3/8 in thick, 7 lb, with a PVC top over a PU foam middle and a rolled size of 6.5 x 36 in.

It is a mat for bodyweight work, bands and floor exercises. It is not a rubber floor and Titan’s page does not say it protects a floor from dropped weights. If your floor needs protecting from the dumbbells, read the flooring guide first.

Bands: REP Resistance Band 2.0, Medium

One band adds pulling work the dumbbells do not cover well. REP lists the Medium band at 1.25 in wide with a 30 to 80 lb range and a 41 in length (an 82 in loop). It carries a 1-year warranty for home use. REP sells the bands one at a time.

Pick the strength by the exercise, not by the top number. REP publishes a range per band, and a lighter band from the same line suits mobility and warm-ups.

What this build leaves out

  • A bench. REP’s AB-3100 adjustable bench is about $270 at REP; with the dumbbells it passes $500. It is the first thing to add. See the $1,000 build .
  • A pull-up option. Doorway bars depend on your frame and the exact manual; the door frame checker covers how to check one. This build does not recommend a specific bar.
  • Heavier weights. Past 30 lb a hand, step up a tier or change system.

How to choose between this and a different plan

Buy this build if you train at home most days, want one weight tool that stores in a corner and have a few feet of floor. Skip it if you need a barbell, because none of these pieces holds one. Before ordering, run your room through the space planner ; the cradles and mat are in its table.
