For under $1,000, buy the REP PR-1100 power rack, the REP AB-3100 adjustable bench and the REP QuickDraw 30 lb adjustable dumbbell pair. At the list prices REP showed on October 22, 2026, the three come to about $985 before tax. That gets you a rack with a pull-up bar, a bench that goes from flat to upright and dumbbells from 5 to 30 lb each. It does not get you a barbell, plates, a floor or bands, and the total leaves almost no room for them.

This is desk research. Nobody here has handled this gear. Sizes and capacities come from the maker’s pages, listed under Sources. Prices are bands, not quotes, and sales move them.

The build at a glance

The total is three list prices added and rounded to about $985. Tax, shipping beyond what a seller includes and any price change are not in it. It is not an exact total.

Rack and pull-up bar: REP PR-1100

The PR-1100 is a power rack with a multi-grip pull-up arch on top (traditional, neutral, close and wide grips, plus a 1.25 in bar in front and a 2 in bar at the back). REP lists a rackable capacity of 700 lb, a rack weight of 130 lb, 3 in hole spacing and pin-pipe safeties and J-cups included. The working area inside is 44 in wide and 24 in deep, 79 in high.

The overall size is 58.1 in wide, 48.5 in deep and 85 in tall. REP says the pull-up bar can be mounted inverted to lower the height for a low ceiling. REP also says the rack is not recommended for muscle-ups and suggests a heavier rack for kipping pull-ups.

Without a barbell the rack is a pull-up station and a safe place to set up later. REP lists barbells and plates separately; its competition bumper plate sets start at about $690, which is why a barbell is outside this budget. Stock matters too: REP’s page showed each color as unavailable when read, while Amazon showed the listing in limited stock. Check availability before you plan around it.

Bench: REP AB-3100

REP calls the AB-3100 its most affordable adjustable bench. The back pad has six positions (0, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 degrees) and the seat has three (0, 10 and 20 degrees). It is 50.5 in long, 23 in wide and 16.75 in high, a listed footprint of 7.9 sq ft, and weighs 70 lb. REP lists a 700 lb capacity.

For dumbbell work, the upright positions support rows and shoulder presses, and flat and incline support chest work. At 23 in wide it is a full-size bench, not a narrow one, which matters if the rack is next to a wall.

Dumbbells: REP QuickDraw, 30 lb pair

The 30 lb pair covers 5 to 30 lb each. The switches change weight in 10 lb jumps and the 2.5 lb micro plates in the box allow smaller steps. The 30 lb dumbbell is 12.2 in long, the cradle is 20.6 x 8.45 in and the handle is 32 mm across. REP gives a lifetime warranty to the original buyer, with exclusions for wear and abuse.

The ceiling is the catch: this tier stops at 30 lb a hand, and REP lists 60 lb as the system’s maximum. If your current weights are higher, the adjustable dumbbell guide compares systems with higher limits, though they cost more and would take the build over $1,000.

What the budget leaves out

Not included Why Rough cost at REP’s list
Barbell and plates Bumper plate sets alone start near $690 outside the budget
Floor A rubber floor or mat protects the room Titan Foam Fitness Mat about $80 to $90; flooring guide has others
Bands Add pulling work and pull-up help REP Resistance Band 2.0, about $16 to $40 each

Any one of these pushes the total past $1,000. If you need a floor, the flooring guide explains what to check, and the cheaper $500 build shows the dumbbells with a mat and a band instead of a rack.

Will it fit?

The rack is the problem piece. Run your numbers through the space planner : it checks the PR-1100, the AB-3100 and the QuickDraw cradles against your room and ceiling. REP lists the space inside the rack at 44 in wide and 24 in deep, and the bench is 50.5 x 23 in, so measure how the bench will sit in or beside the rack before you order.
